I read an article today that talked about the great Cascadia Fault that runs along basically all of the Pacific Northwest. It’s enough to send any sane person into fear about living in this area.
Basically if the big one hits, a 9 on the Richter scale which means over four minutes of shaking, the entire coast of Oregonand Washington will be gone. Everyone over there at the time will be inundated by a tsunami. Portland, Seattle and all cities within 100 miles or so of the coast will be crumbled. Power, gas and Internet will be gone for months. And basically it could happen at any time.
So what is one to do? Move? Stop living? Stock pile supplies? Gives you something to think about.
